April 2, 2024 – As the age of information evolves into the age of AI, resources and research are more prevalent than ever before. Yet having too many resources to consult can actually impede efficiency; integrating tools into a single workflow can help to streamline work without sacrificing knowledge.
IBISWorld is excited to announce major enhancements for our Call Prep Insights app within Salesforce. This enhanced partnership between IBISWorld, the world’s largest independent publisher of industry reports, and Salesforce, the world’s largest customer relationship management (CRM) platform, brings valuable industry insights directly into the Salesforce platform. Using Call Prep Insights, sales professionals can access important industry information without having to leave their CRM.
The release of the new app aligns with IBISWorld’s goal of offering multiple delivery methods for its clients to access industry data in new ways. “Re-envisioning how our data can be used in the Salesforce app epitomises our dedication to delivering industry research that you can trust, where you want it,” says IBISWorld’s Head of Strategic Accounts and Partnerships, James Staddon.
“This is the first of many exciting integrations,” Staddon continues, “and I’m looking forward to driving more value to our users through convenient ways to access our data.”
The new Call Prep Insights app incorporates some of the most popular data from IBISWorld’s trusted research to assist salespeople with prospect research for meeting preparation, as well as several new features to assist with company mapping, pipeline management and optimization:
- Industry Mapping features Users can manually select an industry that matches the account they are working with, or they can take advantage of our Proactive Mapping features, which will automatically map the account to an industry based on the desired standard coding system.
- Industry Overview Once mapped, users can view information from the At a Glance chapter to easily understand the industry’s performance and forecast, key metrics, product lines, top companies, import penetration, supply chain and more.
- Call Prep Questions Users can also reference ready-made questions for contacts in the industry, covering topics like Strategy & Operations, Technology, Compliance, Internal and External Issues, and more. Each question is paired with analyst-written insights that give context into the importance of the questions.
- Financial Data Industry statistics, key ratios and industry financial ratios can also be found in the app, allowing users to easily benchmark organizations to weigh opportunity and risk.
- Save Data to Salesforce Records Users can write key data points for the industry directly to a Salesforce object, empowering sales leaders to run reports in Salesforce to assist with strategy decisions and pipeline optimization.
- Personalization Salesforce administrators can customize the dashboards for their sales team to ensure that users see the most important data and insights for their organization.
Product Manager Thomas Larson likens the Save Data feature to IBISWorld’s Industry Wizard tool, with a personalized twist. “Early conversations have generated a lot of interest in this feature” Larson says.
“The ability to map industry data to your own prospect base, then filter or sort on the industry data, is incredibly powerful for business leaders to identify opportunity within their territories.”
The Call Prep Insights by IBISWorld app is now available on the Salesforce AppExchange for download. The app requires use of Salesforce Lightning version, as well as an approved IBISWorld license. Subscribers can set up the app with the help of their IBISWorld representative in just a few steps, making it easier than ever to improve sales processes within your own workflow.
